PhD student Mina Heydarian and her collaborators published a new study in which they carefully modelled how to increase the current density in tandem solar cells and then optimised the experimental procedures to realise great gains in the current density. These improvements are key to realise highly-efficient perovskite-silicon solar cells. The study also demonstrates the importance of bringing together experts in modelling, fabrication and characterisation.
